Every day for the next 5 days (starting Tuesday 23 March 2010 until Saturday 27 March 2010) I will Blog the good, the bad and the ugly of the 5 main UK Political Parties, in alphabetical order (and all in my opinion).
Thursday: The Labour Party
I believe you must never stop questioning your own beliefs, and must allways keep an eye on what your "competition" is doing right and wrong.
The Labour Party

The Good:
- The Labour Party has dived head first into the world of online campaigning, and they have done it very successfully. While many Parties seem reluctant to venture online and harness the full potential of "E-Voters", Labour have managed to collect data on supporters from campaigns that range from Keeping the Hunting Ban, to Saving Sure Start.
The Bad:
- The Party itself has a problem with democracy. There have been many complaints within The Labour Party that members just aren't being listened to and that the National Party is making key decisions without consulting or even considering the opinions of "normal people". This is a serious fault of any Political Party. Without the grass roots support, you do not have a workable or manageable organisation. I am in the opinion that how a Party is run, says alot about how the country would be run during their term.
- They raised the tax on Cider.
The Ugly:
- During the last 13 years of a Labour Government our Civil Liberties have been grossly attacked and beaten, mostly in the name of "Health" and "Counter-Terrorism". In 2007 a report came out that concluded there are 266 ways a Government Official can enter your home. That is 266 ways the Government can enter your home. If there is anyone out there who wasn't even slighlty shocked/ disgusted by that, wherever or whenever you heard it first, you either work for the Government or like the idea of living in an Orwellian Society. I was planning on writing a short list of examples of how our Civil Liberties have been eroded over the last 13 years. However it would be niether short nor comprehensive enough for the true extent of how our liberties have been treated with so little respect since Labour winning in 1997.
I apologise for the lack of length in "The Good" section. I tried, I really did, but struggled to find anything worthy to write.
Tomorrow I discuss the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of: The Liberal Democrats.
